Don't go up and choose 1, let 1 choose you
If buying from breeder make sure that they are registered and you recieve all paper work.
If buying froma resue centre look for a dog with a good temperament and see how it behaves when having it's lead ond collar put on and also how it behaves on a walk.
Make sure everyone is willing to help with looking after the dog before buying one.
Don't just get a puppy who you yourself likes, make sure everyone agrees with the one you want or it may not get treated correctly by others.
Buying a dog has a lot of responsability to it and can take up a lot of time, so you must be willing to take time out to feed, exercise and grrom your dog, so don't just choose a dog that looks like it won't need a lot of attenmtion because every puupy does.
